Anjali Mangla
Undergraduate Researcher
Anjali Mangla is a Neuroscience and Global Affairs double major earning her certificate in Global Health Studies. She is passionate about enhancing public communication through thoughtful journalism about various global health inequities, while pioneering solutions to these disparities through impactful global health policy and research. After interning on the health policy team of a think tank, she realized she could leverage the tools of data science and machine learning to analyze, predict, and provide solutions for gaps in health insurance access, healthcare disparities in disease outcomes, and the impact of regulation on healthcare innovation. She is passionate about utilizing data science to better community health outcomes all over the world, and also analyzes the ways in which we can make healthcare more affordable for both providers and patients.
At CarDS Lab, she has worked on reviewing the challenges and solutions in leveraging Electronic Health Records (EHR) for cardiovascular disease prediction and treatment, and plans to utilize data science to analyze the impacts of regulation on cardiovascular healthcare innovation and global cardiovascular health disparities.
